Getting to the race

Spectators can reach the races by car to Temple Island Meadow, or by rail to Henley. The station is a 25 minute walk, approximately 3km from the enclosure at the race finish by Temple Island. There is no parking on Remenham Lane itself, but ample space is available in the official event car park adjacent to the finish enclosure.

Access by road

  • Leave the M4 at junction 8/9 and join the A404 (M) towards Henley and High Wycombe
  • Join the A4130 towards Henley for about 4 miles
  • At the top of Remenham Hill turn right into Remenham Church Lane
  • The Henley Boat Races will be signposted

There will be car parking available in Temple Island Meadows, costing £5 per car, £20 per minibus, £40 per coach (all occupants free of charge).

Access by train

There is a National Rail Station in Henley. The regatta site is approximately 2km from the town centre. On leaving the station, head towards the river and cross via Henley Bridge. Take the towpath on the left in front of Leander Club. Racing starts approximately 200m beyond Leander Club. Follow the river for 2000m along the Henley Royal Regatta course, past Remenham Club and Upper Thames Rowing Club, to arrive at the finish and the facilities (food/bar/brass band/children's entertainer/toilets) at Temple Island Meadow.
